Description
In 2010, OSHA increased the penalties for all citations and directed its compliance officers to focus on ensuring compliance with its regulations, particularly those requiring employee training. Special scrutiny has been placed on worker training, including language, literacy levels, culture communication and whether employees in fact understand their training. Several regulations require the employer to "certify" that employees understand their training.
Alchemy has invited Mark A. Lies II, Labor & Employment Attorney at Seyfarth Shaw LLP and Esmeralda Garcia, Training Supervisor at OSI Group to host a webinar titled “Understanding the Liabilities of Language in Workplace Safety Training” on Thursday, February 23rd at 10am CT.
The hour-long webinar will provide you solid information to help you successfully navigate through OSHA’s minefield of regulations surrounding training. You will hear examples of companies that failed to adjust their training to meet OSHA requirements and the price they paid for incomplete employee training.
