We are a family-owned winery, set in the scenic and stunningly beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Specializing in and crafting red wines focused on the Piedmont varietals Barbera, Dolcetto, and Nebbiolo, our wines begin in our estate vineyard.
Our philosophy is simple: a profound respect and honor for our natural surroundings will produce equally profound wines. Minimal “sculpting” of our fruit after harvest is our preference, as this is a more honest expression of our vineyard’s terroir.
We believe in supporting – and are grateful for the support of – local community members. And it’s our pleasure to share our wines with all, as this is the true joy of food and wine. Grab a seat- there’s always room for one more at our table…

SPRINGHOUSE embodies the spirit of the Columbia River Gorge, producing ten handcrafted, single-vineyard, Northwest wines each year in the cellar of a rustic downtown Hood River winery, and pouring them upstairs in a tap driven tasting room. You read that right, wine on tap. Order a flight of all ten wines, relax with a glass on the porch, and then take home a unique Springhouse 1 liter growler - or as they say in France, growlier - that you can perpetually refill. Fine wines - in a sustainable package - in a beautiful place.

In Hood River there is no better place to experience taste and atmosphere of the Northwest than at the Hood River Hotel’s Cornerstone Cuisine. They believe in a conscious connection between the one who eats the food and the source of that sustenance.
The majority of their produce is delivered fresh daily from small local farmers and foragers that believe picking in the peak of ripeness leads to a more delicious and healthier dish. If they have to buy ingredients from outside the local farmers, they choose from a handful of small area merchants who believe in the same ideas and follow the path of using organic, chemically unaltered ingredients whenever possible. The seafood is caught wild from the Pacific Ocean and chickens raised on the range, not in cages. All beef comes from grain-fed hormone free cows and eggs are organic naturally laid by free roaming hens.
