Committee Meetings – Tuesday, September 21 (Open to NWFPA Processor Member Company Representatives Only)

The annual NWFPA Autumn Assembly of Committees meetings will be held on Tuesday, September 21 at the Embassy Suites Portland Airport.  Processor member company participation as an NWFPA Committee member is vital to the Association’s planning process and to establish priorities for the next fiscal year.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.  On-line registration requested.

Wednesday Activities and Awards Dinner (Open to all Food Processor and Supplier Company Representatives)

The Golf Tournament, Fishing Derby and Awards Dinner have become Fall favorites for Processor and Supplier members and their guests.  Last year’s events attracted 144 golfers, 19 fisherman and over 170 dinner attendees.  NWFPA members and non-member food processor and supplier company representatives are welcome to participate.  On-line registration requested.

The days’ activities provide an excellent opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow members and other food processing industry professionals.  Whether it is golf or fishing, both activities provide a great way to relax and have some fun while building lasting business relationships with key clients and associates within the food processing industry.

Best Ball Golf Tournament - SOLD OUT

The 2011 AAC Golf Tournament and Awards Dinner will be held at the beautiful Riverside Golf & Country Club.  Riverside has been rated by Golf Digest as one of Oregon's top golf courses. The greens are some of the best in the Northwest.

The tournament will be a four person team “best ball” competition, providing the opportunity for all levels of golfer to contribute and enjoy the round.  Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, for men’s and women’s longest drive and KP holes.   A Putting Contest and other activities will be held prior to the start of the golf tournament with prizes awarded at the Awards Dinner. Denim clothing of any color or style is not allowed on the course or in the Club House. Member Cost (Golf Only) - $155. Non-Member Cost (Golf Only) - $185.

Fishing Derby (View Schedule & Rules PDF)

The Fishing Derby will be held on the majestic Columbia River.  Participants will have the opportunity to test their angling skills to catch the largest Salmon or Sturgeon.  Derby contestants will be meeting at the golf course, where transportation to and from Chinook Landing.  Prizes will be awarded at the Awards Dinner.  Please note that denim is not allowed in the Club House.  Guest lockers will be available at the Club House for those who need to change. Member Cost (Fishing Only) - $185. Non-Member Cost (Fishing Only) - $215.

Reception and Awards Dinner

Don’t miss the Reception and Awards Dinner following the finish of the Golf Tournament.  The Club House at Riverside is the perfect setting for this popular dinner featuring a classic Pacific NW menu, the awarding of golf and angler awards and loads of door prizes. Member Cost (Dinner Only) - $60. Non-Member Cost (Dinner Only) - $80.

Discounted room rates have been secured at the Embassy Suites Portland Airport for NWFPA Autumn Assembly attendees.  For reservations call 503-460-3000 and ask for the special NWFPA room rate of $139.  Free parking and a complimentary airport shuttle are included in the $139 rate plus a cooked-to-order breakfast and manager’s reception.
