MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY DESCRIPTION:
Management, policy and technical personnel from NWFPA processor member companies with an interest or responsibility in energy and resource issues.

PURPOSE:
Enhance the productivity and competitiveness of NWFPA members through improved energy and resource use efficiencies and the advocating of the members’ energy and resource interests.

ACTIVITIES:
Recommend and develop association policies, positions, priorities and activities with regard to energy efficiency, resource conservation, energy supply and reliability, renewable resources, resource management, and productivity improvements. Advise and guide the development and implementation of NWFPA’s Energy Roadmap and projects to reduce industry-wide energy intensity by 25% in 10 years, and other energy and resource efficiency programs.

AUTHORITY:
Develop and initiate programs within Board policy and subject to Board approval. Coordinate with appropriate committees and staff of national and regional associations as well as government agencies. The Committee Chair may appoint subcommittees or task forces for activities involving specific products and issues.

FREQUENCY OF MEETINGS:
September/October (at Autumn Assembly), January (at NWFPA’s Expo) and as needed.
