The Northwest Food Processors Expo and Conference (Expo) is considered the largest regional Food Processing Expo in North America.  The event is held annually in Portland and attracts 3,000 food processing industry professionals from across the country.  In addition to 400 exhibitor booths in the Expo Hall, the event offers educational sessions with industry relevant information featuring high level speakers to provide value to a broad based audience of food processor company personnel.

Attendees

Food processing industry professionals from the Northwest, the United States and around the world attend Expo.  The event attracts a full range of industry professionals from CEO’s, plant managers, purchasing managers, production and quality assurance managers, to the mechanics on the production floor.  They come to network and attend educational sessions and to see and learn about the latest technology, systems and related information that can improve their operations. To encourage attendees to spend more time in the exhibit hall, the Expo features special interest Pavilion areas geared to specific industries, technologies and solutions. In 2013 these will include the Innovation, International and Energy Pavilions. New in 2013 will be the Taste of the Northwest, an Expo Hall theater for demos and presentations, an ice cream social and lunch in the trade show.  The well attended Sample Display will be held Monday morning and on Tuesday there will be four hours with no classroom sessions so attendees may explore the trade show, network and check out theater events.

Expo Education Sessions

The Expo sessions feature top level speakers and educators who address the major issues and topics impacting the food processing industry and the region.  The sessions are held each day and cover a broad spectrum of topics including: Energy and Environment; Food Safety Defense and Technology; Government Affairs; Productivity and Innovation.  There will be an extended lunch hour on Tuesday to ensure nothing is missed while in the Expo Hall.
