NWFPA Serves as an ADVOCATE for Members' Interests and a RESOURCE for Enhancing Their Competetive Capabilities |

NWFPA's Government Affairs program helps our members present a united voice for northwest food manufacturers in a variety of political and public policy arenas.
Through top-level lobbyists and issue managers, the association provides effective advocacy on legislative issues, as well as industry representation in regulatory matters, at both the state and federal levels.
In addition, NWFPA supports robust political action through its PAC, and provides grassroots communications tools for members through our website. NWFPA’s Advocacy Action Center is an easy to use resource that allows members to quickly and conveniently advocate for issues of critical importance to the food processing industry.
Through NWFPA’s Government Affairs Committee, members are able to guide NWFPA’s government affairs program. In coordination with our expert issue managers, committee members develop policy and strategy for addressing issues of concern, and provide factual information on industry issues to elected officials and state agencies (e.g. legislators, governors, members of Congress, agency directors, etc.) Committee members also support the association by keeping other members informed of pending or possible legislation and encouraging their effective political involvement. |
